>>CONTACT US FOR THE WORKSHOPS END OF JULY AND END OF AUGUST!<<

This workshop was developed with those musicians in mind who want to record their musical ideas at home, but haven’t been able to get started.
During 12 lessons, divided over 6 days, we will introduce you to all the key concepts, and practical actions, which are needed to record, edit and mix music at home. All this with a simple setup of computer, interface, microphone, headphones and REAPER as the Digital Audio Workstation (DAW).

During the first three days of the workshop, we will tackle the basics one by one, each time with a short theoretical introduction, followed by two hours of practical work, where the participants are split in groups of three. In each group, each person will rotate between being the engineer behind the computer, being the musician behind the microphone, and being the observer. Almost every session participants will be recording something new, and while doing so, become familiar with the steps.
During the last three days of the workshop, each group will work on an end production, recording, editing and mixing a piece of music of their choice (or better yet, brand new). The process will be documented with camera’s and the end result will be presented online as a music video.

Participants don’t need to bring any equipment, only their instruments!
All info provided during the workshop will also be available afterwards in PDF format. This includes the key concepts with some simplified background information, as well as important keyboard shortcuts for Reaper.
