Δystopian_Farmer first release
It took us a good while but finally early February we managed to first get the audio only version out of ‘ARID 2053’ with Δystopian_Farmer, and two weeks later also the video. While of course a lot of passion has gone into this project, as a ‘band’ we are completely unknown and it’s our little project on the side between the studio work for other artists. And so we didn’t expect too many reactions outside of friends and family. The amount of people sharing the first release was overwhelming though and gave us courage to crack on with the next song and video, which will likely again not be released at the same time; the song is ‘Kalotycha Einai Ta Vouna’, a traditional polyphonic song from Epirus which we have completely reworked. The arrangement is close to finished but we need the finishing touch of groove master Psallidas, and then probably some other fixes. We’re hoping to get the music out end of April but all depends on how busy we are here in the studio.
The video follows a different plan, there is a simple and minimal story line in this case, but we are going for a more ‘improvised’ type of video – there’s some footage of Mufu saying her lines and some of her climbing the mountains for some undisclosed purpose, for the rest we are filming the mountains in all their mystery and glory and are looking for the right kind of footage to combine with the rest. It could be that we’ll get some more specific plans as we go.
