New site coming up
It’s always quite the shitshow when a new site is being constructed. Like selecting a snare sample for a cheesy blues rock song. Yes indeed. You’re not supposed to put snare samples on blues rock songs. So you get an idea of the scope of the problem. So, this bit here will be deleted once it has served it’s purpose. Which is, at the same time, both simple, and clear: just fill a page with some text, or rather a blog post, in order to have something to see how it will all look once there are some proper posts. Come to think of it, seeing that there may sometimes be not much to be reported, unless I find something worthwhile to type about, perhaps I should give this little post some credit and reconsider deleting it asap after it’s done it’s job. Hmmm. Let’s think about that.
About the site then, it’s supposed to look neat and informative but not too cluttered, not too artistic neither, it’s not a bandpage or something, just an overview of the services we provide here at Epirus Music Lab. Yeah I say we, not because I have a problem saying I per se, but because it is after all a bit of a family enterprise. My dear wife will take some of the management tasks on her, and she is anyway regularly active in the studio, apart of her (our) own music she also plays a mean bit of laouto and sings some lovely backing vocals in certain traditional styles.
The whole thing will be first of all in English as the work I have been doing the past years has been predominantly from abroad. Since there is no ‘decent’ project studio in the vicinity here, there should be some work to be done in the local scene, so for that the idea is to provide some Greek info as well. Although most people these days, also around here, can read English fine.
