For the 2023 edition of the Dancing Strings Festival in Holland, in collaboration with Marmoucha Orchestra, Michiel was invited to create 3 pieces based on Greek music, and come to play these pieces on the Laouto during 3 live shows.

He decided to use traditional melodies from Epirus and tie them together in a bit different way from what is usually done. For the performances rather than use the traditional Laouto, he built a resonator version, which was an idea he had been thinking about for a while. The show in Tivoli, Utrecht, was multitrack recorded and filmed, and Epirus Music Lab got to edit and mix a couple of fragments.
